Reality of an Art-Diploma Graduate: You don't seem to head where your paved road leads to...
No sales since boss left for Paris/NY. Ah well, still as busy as ever since Raya is around the corner. Funny, the other day Reshmonu(A Malaysian R&B singer) walked in to our shop, I greeted and his friend and him looked at me... as if expecting me to go "OMG RESHY!!! *rabid fangirl scream*". Well... sorry if I didn't react that way. But my junior colleague, Rachael quickly reacted to me when he walked off... "omg! Reshmonu.. I love his songs"...
Maybe that just prooves I'm an average girl with no need for mainstream music. LOL! No offense, I don't hate or have a certain dislike. I just prefer things that not many my age listens to... And not overly hyped like super duper hard metal etc. No offense... I had been acquainted with many 'famous' people with my office environment as of late. Datuk K and Datin Siti Nurhaliza became our client. Well, I didn't have the chance to meet Datin Siti as I was off. Met Joanna Bessey, Kavita Sidhu, Nanu Baharuddin, and the oh-so-cute and petite Sharifah Amani. I even worked more closely to Malaysian models, etc... well, I don't have much expectations when I stepped in to this company but, it really has more in store than I had expected...
Well, in another odd case... I was walking home the other day. Some dude drove by and asked me "Miss? Want a ride?". I rolled my eyes and looked away. Well, he lingered for a few secs and admit defeat. "Orite, got the answer" as he drove off.
My point is, some guys still don't realize girls are not as naive as they used to be? Besides, I'm not earning off 'street jobs'. Maybe they shouldn't prey on primetime people who are walking back from their proper daylight job. Assholes, really.
And this brings me back to a few other 'harass' cases I faced within the span of 2 months. I was in a local Light Railway Transit... and a group of Malay guys(no, I do not mean to be racist, but they were really Malay) entered at a certain station. They gathered around me and one of them squat and fliped open his phone's camera. I'm really not that blunt in techy. I know that Nokia phone and it has to be slid down to take a picture. And he aimed at me. I looked at him and he smiled and turned away. Come on, gimme a break. If you were Ephram Brown or Bright Abott, I really wouldn't mind posing in my bikinis for you... (I'm just saying, rly). I glared and he turned his phone to another direction. I rolled my eyes and looked away. They were talking but my mp3 player was obviously on max vol. That b-tard focused his phone on me again.
Well, u'd find a million and one girl who'd pose if someone came up to her to take a picture... but sorry, I'm a cover girl. I turned and glared, he actually smiled and he didn't steered away, he focused and when he was about to take my pic, I flashed my mid finger saying aloud "Fuck off". That guy grew SOOOOOOOOOO furious he started throwing words at me. I heard only a few... something sounded like "u think I'm trying to take YOUR picture?"(in Malay). But well, growing so angry threw obvious into the scene. I think everyone else were already staring. That guy close his phone, placed in his pocket and stood up. ROFL!
Well, for some part, I was quite afraid as they had about 7 guys in the group. Then again, I guess they'd easily be in deepshit if I called for help. We were stuck in a long ride, they grew awkward of standing in front of me. And hightailed rather quickly without any scathing remarks. I had more than 5 cases of people actually snapping my picture without my consent in public places... it actually is disturbing. I don't find any fancy towards the fact that boys fancy me hence they take my picture... I think it's plain harassment. I'd rather date an average guy who comes up to me and nicely talk and intro himself than a twerp who'd wolf-whistle me no matter how hot he is.
Now, if you don't mind my bad story tellings, the 2nd case... was more of an immoral act. Well, I'm not pressing charges on Malays again. I really have no grudge against them, I have hundreds of Malay friends myself and thanks to them I speak Malay well and often people asks if I was Malay and not Chinese. See, the thing is maybe those I mixed with are well mannered and educated... lets put it as civilised?
There's a night where I was REALLY tired because of work, I wanted to rush home, take a shower, have late dinner and go to bed, liek desperately. I would have to wait an extra 30 mins if I had waited for the bus(RapidKL? Not so Rapid...). So, I chose to take a taxi....
